This route is rich with natural and archaeological sites. Along the way, you'll witness unusual shifting views of the natural landscapes along the northern borders of Karakalpakstan on the Ustyurt Plateau and Aralkum. A breathtaking panorama unfolds from the plateau to Lake Sudochie, a state ornithological reserve, and to the Aral Sea itself—the jewel for which this extended journey is undertaken.
Along the route, we'll also visit archaeological sites—the Mizdakhkan complex, the medieval signaling tower "Sudochye", medieval cemeteries, and the Kurganch trading post (Davletgirey)—all of which blend organically into these landscapes that once attracted the region's ancient inhabitants. Despite the harsh conditions of life, such as those on the plateau, these monuments were essential and held great strategic importance.
